Thanks all. I suppose the bolt that tightens into the notch should stop it becoming undone. I did discover a castle nut and split pin on one side of the car and a nylock nut on the other side (both fitted by my own fair hands).

Autoglym Engine & Machine cleaner and a power washer? Maybe some detailing brushes to get into the awkward corners, something like these.

    Engine out?

  • GuyW11 May 2024

Planning on a bit of a refresh of my engine bay. What is the best way of dealing with 25+ years' accumulation of dirt in awkward to get at corners to get it clean enough to take the fresh paint?

From a buyer's point of view, I much prefer shops to ebay because of the delay in getting what I need/want.

But with fewer and fewer shops anyway, ebay is fine, and cheaper too. Plus with ebay policies so heavily biased in favour of buyers, it's excellent for returns.

I haven't and won't sell on ebay though. Looks like too much hassle. Fortunately, I don't need to sell anything.

The good thing about offers is the buyer has to pay instantly the seller accepts the offer. No waiting to be paid although eBay does delay putting it in your bank account for up to 7 days.

All teachers use Smartboards with resources stored on a central file server which, I presume, would need to be isolated from users in order to fix security issues.

Schools can't really afford to employ highly experienced IT security technicians and this was a problem waiting to happen imv.

All their teaching is on-line? Seriously?

  • Greybeard 10 May 2024

Classic Bike, just not every issue. Occasionally a classic car mag if there's something on the cover that gets my attention.

  • Bill Bretherton10 May 2024

Just MASCOT, part of MASC membership. Very rarely buy a classic car mag if something grabs my attention on the front cover.
